Must be getting old, I had this info and now can't find it. Anyone know the govn't OAL spec?

I just miked one up for you. It measures 3.325 OAL.

Should you like the idea of using 7.62 NATO 147-gr. FMJBTs in the .30-06, please know that they work just fine but might not come out to the same OAL if you use the crimp groove.
I get 2 MOA out of mine all the time, in both .30-06 and 7.62 NATO. IIRC, going the other way with M2 Ball bullets in 7.62 requires that you abandon the channelure, because the OAL on the round will be too long. |

Thanks for the info. This time I will put it in with my '06 loading data so I know where it is. Cheapo, Thanks for the info on the 147gr stuff. I have stayed away from it as I had no info concerning it's accuracy. I just ordered a 1000 163gr AP bullets and will give them a try. |
