Must be getting old, I had this info and now can't find it. Anyone know the govn't OAL spec?

I just miked one up for you. It measures 3.325 OAL.

Should you like the idea of using 7.62 NATO 147-gr. FMJBTs in the .30-06, please know that they work just fine but might not come out to the same OAL if you use the crimp groove.

I get 2 MOA out of mine all the time, in both .30-06 and 7.62 NATO.

IIRC, going the other way with M2 Ball bullets in 7.62 requires that you abandon the channelure, because the OAL on the round will be too long.

Thanks for the info. This time I will put it in with my '06 loading data so I know where it is.

Thanks for the info on the 147gr stuff. I have stayed away from it as I had no info concerning it's accuracy.

I just ordered a 1000 163gr AP bullets and will give them a try.
