Magnum vs Regular Primers
Are there any issues with using small magnum primers for 9mm loads? My supplier is out of small pistol, but has small magnum in stock for the same price.

The magnum primer is a much hotter primer whether it be for pistol or rifle. If you use a magnum pistol primer, safety and preferred reloading practices would warrant that you back off your favorite recipes and work back up. Be especially diligent in this regard if you are using a fast burning powder as the power curve will be significantly impacted.

The best, most accurate, safest load will be the one that follows the bullet maker's or powder maker's data. They get to test a lot more loads than you or I.
