Can TFL attachments be directly linked into posts?

Tried to post an attachment .jpg and then link it in this post.

It shows as a link, instead:

Ahh. Dynamic urls are prohibited from being linked with [img]. I don't think universally allowing dynamic urls in img tags is a good idea.

I suppose vBulletin could be hacked such that dynamic urls are allowed if the url contains the forum's base url.

Of course, dynamic urls don't have to have ? or &, but there's no doubt this restriction prevents some abuse.
