Hornady GMX

My hunting buddies frequently ask, why do you use those expensive bullets? Last week, the Buck we've been watching since before the season, walked onto the Plot. He was 120 yards away and the plot was 30 degrees downhill from the shooting house. I held low for a quartering shot at the brisket, and it hit right there. The 139 GMG exploded the heart and broke the left leg exiting. He ran 100 yards, spewing 3' high, and piled up. After recovery, we discovered the bottom of the lungs were mush, too. After leaving him at the processor, I washed a gallon of blood from my truck bed. Premium bullets make the difference when you don't make a perfect shot.

Yes they do.

Processor? Not that hard to do at home.

Congrats!

Note the GMX line has now been replaced by Hornady's CX line.

Glad you had a good experience. I’ve been running Hornady interbonds for years but they seem to be out of production indefinitely now. Was considering switching to the new CX line since it’s only a matter of time before Oregon go lead free.
