Waffenfabrik Bern K31

I’ve had some Swiss military pull rifles like everyone here in Switzerland, they are plentiful in the attics, basements, gun shops and shows. Didn’t keep them. However while roaming at the LGS before Christmas, I saw he had a whole batch that just came in.

So I chose the nicest K31 with diopter competition sights, which are allowed in military style competitions. That one is a keeper.

Wikipedia has a good page about this model

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K31

Made in 1940, $ 600, the sights cost slightly more than the rifle.

The cutouts on the foreguard are asymmetrical, left forward for the thumb and right rearward for the four fingers

Looking forward to try it out at the 300 m range
