Westinghouse mosin nagant
Well I picked up this new England Westinghouse mosin last week for 80 bucks. Its non matching and it looks like rather recently someone bubba'd tho stock. I'd like to bring it back to original as much as I can. Does anybody have a lead on a m91 stock and hardware? Thanks in advance.

Take a peek at Sarco Inc or Numrich Gunparts. There's quite a few other places where they could be had, but those are good places to start.

Gunparts shows Mosin stocks as out of stock. Sarco shows hand guards but nothing else. It's all the wee metal bits that will add up in a hurry. Screws, for example, run $2 or $3 each.
Rummage around here. They have stocks at $75. M91 Hand guards at $22. Sling swivels at $38 each. https://www.libertytreecollectors.co...?idCategory=17

The stocks everyone is posting are 91/30 stocks, not Model 91. I am sorry to say M91 parts are very scarce, some guys have taken to making there own handguards because they are just not available. I am afraid you are in for a tough project.

I have seen model 91 stocks reused for 91/30. It would at least be a start.
Good pictures here: http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinM91R.htm Here's a Remington Walnut stock for comparison. http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/0063.jpg |

Liberty tree has them. They are a bit pricey. I restocked a 91/30 and M83 Spanish Mauser on ebay. Be patient and get one with all the hardware, and the handguard. I use their saved search feature with specifics I am looking for. Get an email every day with the new listings. On the Spanish, I weeded through all the listings for just Mauser. Got lucky, one was posted not knowing it was Spanish. Had all the hardware I did not have and was a heck of the deal.

Oops, Liberty Tree Had them. I think I saw some nos 91 stocks. I think it was here http://www.ssporters.com/Default.asp. When you follow the link it says they are on vacation and you can not look at what they have. I bought some Mauser parts from them last week seem to be good folks. I thought it was ironic I was buying parts to un-sporterize a poor bubba'ed gun from a site called Springfield sporters.
Get very familiar with what is correct for the Westinghouse specifically. People on eBay will list them as just some ole Mosin stock. You should be able to restore back to original without too much effort or expense. Mine cost me and are about worth what a Mosin and Mauser are worth, and it was fun. |
