What Scope ??

as you can see by my name i shoot a biggie, a .499LWR.., what 4X small scope would you recomend that can take the punishment of a big bores recoil ??

by SMALL i mean somthing similar to the Colts 3X and 4X models, i have destroyed three scopes so far from recoil one is a Leapers "tactical" which they are replacing and should arrive Wed. the other two are Cmore 4Xs' and Cmore will not repair them.., their reason, "they are too old", "they were military contract", "you never should have had them in the first place" and blah.., blah.., blah and more blahhhhhhhh !!!

Can I ask you something?

How come you want a small one?

How come such low power?

Strong/quality ones come in all shapes & sizes.

Just curious...

1Bad,
thanx for the heads up here is the link

FF,
because the bullet drops so fast beyond 300 yds that higher power is needless, and most effective range for the .499LWR is from 10 yds. to 150 yds., it was designed for the Coast Guard to shoot out smugglers boat engines.

No problem. I figured if they were approved for .50BMG's then they should work for you.

Oh, OK, my bad. I had been thinking that that .499 was one of the end-run-around-Calif.-laws .50 BMG substitutes, but it's more like a beowulf - gotcha. Fixed 4 and compact sounds good in that case.
