Fairfield,Ohio shoot
I am planning on shooting my 1st shoot Nov-2nd in Fairfield.
Is it attainable to shoot a 14.5 inch barrel Bushmaster carbine and hit paper at 300 yards? It has a AK style 1.5 inch break also,so theres your 16 inch barrel.Lets face it the break serves no purpose but for looks and makes more noise. The porting actually reduces rise for the follow ups,but no purpose in accuarcy. I'm shooting plinking ammo,55gr South African surplus. The main reason for the shoot is to see how well I can shoot 300 yards with the A3/type carbine. To learn my zero at this distance. I have a 24 inch fluted V-match also I'm going to try out also. I was considering moving up into 62gr boattails for more accuarcy also. Any info would be appreciated. SAFE-SHOOTING!

Well, I don't have any useful information for you (sorry), but am wondering where the shoot is. Is it actually in Fairfield, or is at the Fairfield Sportsmens Association?
I'm a member of FSA and may come out and watch the activities if that's where you're shooting.
