Remington Wonder Wads

I recently bought some remington wonder wads at gander mountain on clearance to try in my 54 tc renegade. Has anyone had any experience with these and if so are there really any advantages to shooting using the wads versus shooting without them? BTW, I have had this rifle for 30 years and it really shoots great, I just like to try differant things now and then.

Wonder Wads are an alternative way to lube the barrel and keep fouling soft. Some people also believe they provide a better gas seal behind the projectile as well.

Wonder Wads can be great. They can improve sealing but more important, they act as a buffer on hot loads. The old timers use to use wasp nesting paper material as a buffer. On Sabots, you should see a marked improvement. You state that it shoots great so why not stop there? I only use wonder wads on hot rifle sabot loads and my cap and ball revolvers. Looks like range time is in order and see for yourself. Be safe !!!
