Ammoman now has this rifle ammo.

Later tonight, or tomorrow is anybody's guess. Ten minutes ago:
Sorry, but I don't know how to link, post photos etc.

Danish 5.56 'Nato'.
Swiss 7.5.
Prvi .308.
Russian 5.45x39.
Russian 7.62x54R: 880 rd. cases.

I only checked a few others, which are still out. This is a positive trend, excluding the prices.
Patience will allow you ladies and gentlemen to find it cheaper, and more available.
So far, the scalpers are part of the problem, as in '08-'09. Some of them will get burned. Stay tuned.

Any bill which Might make it onto the floor of the Senate for a vote-if Reid allows it-will say nothing about ammo, unless I missed something.
Please correct me if otherwise.

5.56mm 750 rounds for $600 plus shipping and handling
7.62x54R 880 rounds for $249+S&H somehow I think a mosin is starting to sound more fun than my ARs right now.
5.45mm $432+S&H per case.

none of those sound like great deals... the 5.45 isn't horrible and they have a surprising amount but the x54R and 223 is flat out moronic. I picked up 2 crates of 54R for less 6 months ago and that's over 80 cents a round for 5.56... 308 wasn't even that steep 4 months ago.

also, that 54r is steel tip and most indoor ranges ban it.

True, not great deals, but in the last week I've found almost no ammo of these types on about five websites.
That's why I listed these for others' benefit-if they find the prices acceptable. If so, that will just keep prices for most of them sky high.

Many guys must find the designation "NATO ammo" irresistable, seeing the prices of battle packs the last few years.

Both the x54R and 5.45x39 at JGsales seem to have sold out yesterday.
Maybe the choices just being there on Ammoman is a sign that more is being imported, distributed, or scalpers are afraid to get burned later if buying Now at these prices (?) for a very risky turnover-but can they re$ell it for more?

Luckily many of us were prepared for both pres. elections. by buying ammo and some reloading powder etc.

You guys aren't paying attention - they ship "free", so figuring I bought a case of 54r at the last gun show for .20/rd and this is .28/rd then I'm paying $70 for shipping (a little steep, but those cases are heavy). All the gun shows around here are charging .40/rd or more (asshats).

Just put in my order. Oh, and they take a photo of your license as proof of age, so I may actually see the box... :-)

missed that, but you are still missing the fact that even with free shipping all of this stuff is double what it cost 6 months ago.

The 7.62x54 ammo isn't even a good deal, you can buy that same ammo with shipping for like $180 tops elsewhere.

Well, I'm afraid that I don't have any "inside information" on that.

Hey, don't take offense - my comment was directed at the rifleer. If he's got info on a better deal, then share it rather than post up a critique on somebody else's find. We're all the better for it.

If that was for me, jgsales.com sells 880 rounds of 7.62x54r for $165, you can buy it else where for a similar price. Just google it.

I am only one state away from JG sales, and for me, with shipping that comes out to ~$200.

He is on the other end of the country, shipping to NC makes it about $220 shipped. A little cheaper than Ammoman, but hardly "with shipping for like $180 tops"

The only place I have seen with anywhere close to that price is SG ammo, and they have been out of stock for a month.

All the other normal players (Aim, Classic Arms, Ammo to go, Wideners, Graf's, Cope's) are either out of stock, or ~$90/can, without shipping.

Shipping has gone up since the last time I bought it. For me, shipping to CA is $30, so its $195 for me. its still cheaper than the other site. Again, you may find a better deal somewhere else.

I drive to Prescott frequently, so I don't pay for shipping from them.

Thanks for the links/names - I'm getting my list in order trying to find better deals. Classic Arms is in my backyard, but their supply is hit and miss, with $160 per case for 5 cases or more (little more than I can afford or even store).

Also, .40 S&W, 9x18 Makarov, maybe two other handgun ammo types.
He still has unique rifle ammo in Carcano, 8x56RS along with these others listed.

Hoping that some actual users benefit from this. These prices must be too high for most "flippers" to benefit.

/dev/1413: Those guys at Classic have a nice sense of humor, and general style.

the rifleer: JGsales has a nice variety, but I did not see low-cost surplus. They must be waiting on more orders of the lowest-price (surplus) x54R ammo?

Ammoman's "Swiss" ammo is actually Ruag (Russian-made?), which has Berdan primers.
