Best 2 3/4 inch ammo for geese?

I am willing to pay for the expensive ammo but I have an old shotgun that I want to try hunting with that only accepts 2 3/4 inch rounds. It is steel safe but im willing to use the heavy rounds.

p.s. no lead shot allowed for geese.

all 26 of my guns are 45/70 govt, 357 mag, 22 or 12 ga... I believe in keeping it simple. Wish my wife did as well...

If you use BB steel shot you'll be limited to an effective 25-45 yds .It may be less ,you have to find how it patterns.

I would use #1 Kent Impact or #1 or B Hevi-Shot goose. In fact I do. The Duck and everything else with Hevi-Shot is lighter.

I would use something like Hevy Shot or Bismuth #2's or BB's. I like the non-toxic pellets with the characteristics of lead. As someone mentioned above, distance is a critical factor.
