P225/P6 Holsters
I carry a Sig Sauer P225/P6 for work and need a level 2 holster to meet company requirements. I'm finding it difficult to locate a holster for my gun, but the holsters for a P226 are plentiful. Would a P225/P6 fit a P226 holster? I've tried to find the main differences in the two and the difference in length is slight (maybe half an inch, the P226 being longer).

The P226 is larger in every dimension. I do not believe that you can safely use a P226 holster to retain a P225.
I know that CompTac makes holsters for the P225 but I do not think that they will meet your retention requirements without modification.

Blackhawk Serpa fits p225, p6, p220 and p226. It's my understanding that the the p220 barrel is a bit longer but that all critical barrel dimensions are the same throughout all four models. The p226 just is bigger through the grips to accommodate a double stack magazine.

What's a level 2 holster?
I didn't read the fine print when I bought from SG, so I have two too many surplus leather p6 holsters. I have a darker-colored one w/no use and a lighter-colored one that has some wear (came that way). They're just sitting in my basement. If they work for you, I'll sell you the both for 15 plus whatever USPS shipping is (guessing $5?). |

Have you tried any holsters for the SIG 228/229 pistols? They should work.
