Question on rules

What is the forum policy on posting materials to promote or advertise a business? I ask because two posts in Sell or Trade/Gear & Accessories (ASP Window Breaker and Wenger knives with lights) seem to be from a commercial business.

The accepted guidelines as far as I know are that if a member contributes to the site in the other forums, then the Buy, Sell and Trade forums are fair game, even for a commercial business. Of course there is a limit to that, but I can't say exactly what that limit is. (Because I don't know.)

Thats about it. Also a request to an admin is a very good idea. Offering freebies, bribes and kickbacks is even better.
