Glenfield Model 25 Barrel issues
I am in need of a barrel for a Glen. Mod 25 .22cal. I found a guy on gunbroker that has some Marlin barrels but none for a 25. Will any of the following Marlin barrels work on the 25?
Marlin model barrels he has in stock: GA22-West Point 49 60 70 120-Revelation 120 700 780 781 |

I have no idea about those barrels.
Numrich doesn't list any barrels for the 25. Have you called Marlin and asked about replacement barrels? A thought. Do you have a bad barrel? It's possible to have a barrel relined for maybe $100 if the rifling is pitted, worn out or otherwise damaged. John |

Your Glenfield Model 25 is a Marlin Model 80. Numrich has barrels in stock for it.

I've seen that claimed, but I've never known anyone who has installed one. Numrich doesn't list a barrel available under the Marlin and Glenfield 25 listing.

model 25 barrel
The barrel finally came in! It is a Marlin 780 barrel. When I installed it the cut for the retaining pin was just a little too far foward (just a hair mind ya!). The barrel WAS fully seated into the action. So I took a drill bit and carefully lined it up with the hole in the receiver. The pin that came with it went in Very tight. That baby is in there! The barrel better last me a life time cause it ain't coming out!!! I have some 780 sights coming in from e-gunparts and they will be here soon. Once I get it all in and refinish the stock I'll post a pic of it if interested. I'm not a "smith" by any means but I like to "tinker". Does anyone think what I did to install this barrel will cause any problems???
