smith and wesson 22a

ive got a smith and Wesson 22a with a 5.5 inch barrel. i would like a shorter barrel though. if i were to buy the 4 inch barrel with the top rail from smith and Wesson, would it work on my frame?

I have been told by S&W customer service that all 22A barrel and top rail assemblies are designed to be directly interchangeable.

I have a 5.5 inch 22a-1, and love it.

I bought a 22a with a cracked frame, and with the shorter barrel for cheap.

Yes they do interchange..
