You can pick up a Sar K2 at Buds Gun Shop. Clearance price is $402.00. One of the most overlooked bargains on the gun market today IMO. One HELL of a weapon and extremely well built. I don't have a clue why they haven't taken off. If I had the money I'd buy another just to have in case they discontinue them.

Price is what kept me out of it, before I got my 1911 I wanted a sig 220 SAO. The xdm 5.25 looks great as well but don't need those now that 1911 does it all for me.

I'm weird but I really like my Ruger. The price wasn't bad either.

I have owned a few on your list. The HK I had was nice, but it didn't sit well in my hand. Very accurate. Sold a Sig 220 to a buddy who was convinced that was his end all be all gun...he sold it back to me and bought a Glock.

The USP is a good pistol from my experience.

I really like the Glock 21 (including the SF). Fits my hand well, don't mind the size when carrying (and I mostly carry my 21). 13+1 and a spare mag seems to be enough when limited to a pistol.

Depends upon what you want it for too. The Glock and HK are my "go to" for times I expect to get dirty with the advantage to the Glock.

+1 to the P220. This forum is a constant healthy reminder to me that to each his own.

A Colt is something that I might get someday but the SAR K2 is the only .45 on my must have list. The K2 will most likely be my next purchase if I don't splurge on an M1a scout this year.

Humm... you mentioned that the Spartan has you covered for 1911's, but your list has a few other near-duplicates?

I'd add:
Glock 41
A Sig
A HK
The CZ97
The XDm 5.25
The FNX
And then I'd add a really nice 1911 such as the Dan Wesson Valor. The heirloom/jewel of the collection.
(Honestly, the Valor would fill in right after the G41 for me)

+ 1 on both the Sig 220 and the Smith & Wesson 645. I have both weapons and they are highly reliable.

Only full size 45 I have that's not a 1911 is my P220 it's a old LE trade that ain't purdy it serves as my truck gun. Had a HK USP and a FN FNP just can't reach a DA trigger on fat double stack 45s

I had #14 (ruger sr45) and #15 eaa witness

Sr45 didn't fit my hand well (too slim) and was too light-framed

the eaa witness had poor serration design... Couldn't get a purchase on it... The slide... No matter what and the springs didn't seem to be appropriate for the caliber

So... I sold both

I ordered a taurus PT845 12+1 which arrived today... I'll clean it, shoot it and share a range report soon

I bought a Taurus 24/7 Pro in .45 several years ago, and it has been a dependable, fairly accurate pistol. It holds 10 rounds, and is very comfortable to shoot.
That being said, I have a friend that just bought a CZ in .45, and let me shoot a few mags through it at an indoor range. It was a VERY nice pistol... good single action trigger, pretty smooth double action, and was pretty much almost one-hole at 7 yards my first time shooting it. Pretty nice gun..

I'd skip anything from Springy, they're having so many issues lately...
After my experience with their xds in 45 that was unreliable even after a trip back to the factory I'll never own another Springfield. Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me.

Which full size non-1911 .45 acp?
My W. German Sig 220, ... or a S&W 4506 (or, possibly, a Smith 645) if you can find one in excellent condition or better.
