I will say that I like the .32ACP for a number of reasons.

I own a number of pistols in this caliber. Two Beretta 3020 Tomcats, two Taurus 732s, one CZ-83, one Beretta 81.

Being s senior citizen means I need something user friendly in a good gun and ammo combo. The .32ACP offers that.

The .380s and more powerful cartridges I do not shoot as well as the .32ACP pistols.

All the above mentioned pistols work well for me and that's all that counts whether it's a pocket pistol or compact framed auto.

Better yet... trade that P232 for a .32 acp Sig P230. Now I've got to tell you that this P230 is a fun, accurate and easy gun to shoot well. The smaller case allows for one more round in the mag for a nice 8+1 loading. It even comes with a safety for those that need that feature.

Though I've never actually carried my .32 Sig, that's due to it's collectable value, not distrust in the viability of the ammo.

what is the advantage of the 230 over the 232. I thought the 232 was supposed to be an improvement?

I only mention the difference in caliber which occurred in the P230 exclusively. IMHO the Sig is a nicer pistol than the Walther. The P232, which does have some improvements, was chambered only in .380. The .32 makes the already beautiful pistol a real jewel and a bit more shooter friendly. If one desires a classic .32, then the Sig is a wonderful option.

OH, Get it! Now that is what I am going to hunt for, the classic P230 in .32 acp to go with my seecamp! I wanted a stainless p232, but now seeing your blue 230, that is a beauty!
Is the lanyard loop standard?

My P230 is an elegant pistol. It's in 380, but I would love to have one in 32acp also.

Only the .32acp P230 has a lanyard loop and the safety as well as the standard decoker lever.

The P230 in .32 is my one and only real grail gun.

Dear PSP, you're probably not aware of this, but I'm probably the long lost offspring you've been searching for. Please make sure I'm mentioned in your will, and if you can only bequeath a single item, then a meager p230 in .32ACP would be acceptable.

The pocket where my EDC pistol resides is neither a museum, or display case. The only thing that makes less sense than having a 32 virtually the same size as a 380 is having an "elegant", "classic" 32 actually bigger than a 9MM in it.
Collector, classic shooter, or safe queen, yes. But for an EDC gun, no way.

I have a P32 for an EDC/pocket gun.

I want a p230 in .32 cause it's maybe the coolest pistol ever made.

Maybe he is referring to the Glock 32 .357 Sig pistol.

Otasan. No chance of that kind of mistake as the entire posting is about the .32 ACP in one way or another. A .357 Sig could not even be crammed in to the chamber of these diminutive pistols.

Undeniably the .32acp is the subject of the OP as he refers to his .32 seecamp!

Beretta Bobcat

Looove that Bobcat! Fits a big hand, makes a big noise every time I pull the trigger, and fits right there in my pocket! So far, nary a hiccup, either.

But I would still really, really like to find a P230 in .32ACP, cause it would be a very cool gun to have. Maybe not an EDC, but a very cool gun.

I have a Japanese police-contract Sig P230 in 32acp. It’s all right. I much prefer my Beretta 81 and 82 (I have several variants), both aesthetically and performance-wise (accuracy/reliability).

I have a P32,and like it,and it is always with me.
Not so with my 1911,38 snub,or large 22 pistols I have.
I always feel better with it in my pocket, than the 45 in the safe.

Kel-tec and CZ70. But put a slide-on grip to make the CZ a little more comfortable. BUT, and I think it is also useful to consistently to use European ammo -- a bit more powerful.

I will have to chrono them, but the Fiocchi 60 grain JHP feel hotter than the Speer Gold Dots or Winchester FMJ that I shoot in my Seecamp. They are longer than the specifiec OAL so I have to use a modified magazine to use them in the Seecamp.

I find it interesting that 100 years ago the .25 ACP was about as common for concealed carry as the .32.

I wish I understood why the change occurred, because the .25 was as sick then as it is now. The .380 is considered the smallest viable carry solution now and I know at least half of the reasoning is based on the size and weight of the guns.

How about the environment? That is, the likelihood of a confrontation. Maybe 100 years ago people didn't go around murdering each other as often so the need wasn't as obvious.
