need help with .223 load
I just bought 65 grain seirra spitzer boat tail bullets for my .223 bolt action and I cant seem to find load data anywhere. I'm using varget powder and was wondering if anyone new the starting grains and max grains. Thanks in advance.

This doesn't give stating and max, but it will be a start. Be sure to start low and work up slowly.

That is what I'm loading, Sierra Game King and Varget only for my Bushmaster. I had the same question and ended up e-mailing Sierra. They said to use the 63gr loading data and so thats what I've been using.
Check their web site and you can download/print out the data, I think. They e-mailed me the data. |

Lots of 223 info here including Sierra data for AR‘s and separate data for bolt guns -

Use the data for 63 grainers and back it down at least 1/2 grain to 1 full grain for maximum. Stick with H335 or WW 748 or similar powders and all should be fine.
