I guess I'm kind of lucky. I live in California, but the people here don't seem too interested in buying up all of the ammo or anything. There is a 6 box limit on ammo at the LGS, but they always have it in stock. They also have about a dozen AR types on hand at all times. The prices have only gone up slightly. Anyways, I bought 6 boxes of WWB in .40.

Walked into a LGS this morning just as it opened and I've never seen anything like it. Somehow the word got out that 50 Smith & Wesson Ar15's had arrived. There was a line out the door and people had to take tickets like the deli counter at a supermarket. I'm pretty sure those AR's were gone before the people at the end of the line even made it through the door. Ammunition was selling just as quickly.

I'm glad I know of other places to get what I want with MUCH less hassle.

Re: What ammo did you buy today, and were? LOL

Academy this morning had: 40/45/556 and I heard 9mm if you got there early enough. Apparently people are still lining up before they open. Ain't nobody got time for that!

I was out by Academy and they had Federal 5.56, so, I bought a box. I wouldn't have driven there for the one box but bought it since I was already there.

What ammo did you buy today, and were? LOL

Just a report. Went to Academy Sports today. Nothing for pistols. The did have some 30-06 and other larger rifle rounds. No 307 or 223.
They did have 12 gauge for birds and clays.

Mike Irwin has started a thread in this forum titled The "Where is everything?" thread -- guns, ammo, primers, powder, etc... That's the one, central thread where discussions of the availability of these things should now be taking place. Feel free to continue the conversation there.
