Electrolux 1911 pistol.
Probably a WWII thing.
There are a lot of people say a lot of Electrolux products suck.

Electrolux 1911? Never heard of it. Even a google search turns up nothing. Well, a mower blade but no gun. Pictures or it does not exist.

I've seen pictures of a Winchester M1911, and a 1911 made by Mauser, but both were fakes.
At the same time, I've read, many times, that only Colt made M16s, but I know, now, that Harrington & Richardson made M16s during the Vietnam war.

They were also made by the Hydromatic Division of General Motors.

Yes, it was a WW2 thing. It has very few markings, but it does say Electrolux on the slide. I have little knowledge of its history, and I have no idea if it's authentic or someone's idea of a joke, as it was part a vast collection of WW1 and WW2 weapons that belonged to my friend's father who passed away last year. Mainly Mausers, Springfields, and Enfields, several broom handle pistols in the full spectrum of condition, various other European pistols, and about 30-40 1911s in boxes and cases. It's quite a collection. He even spent a good bit of time in his last decade restoring sporterized rifles to their original, manufactured condition.

Electrolux did not manufacture a single 1911 or 1911a1 for the US military.

http://sightm1911.com/1911Production.htm
1911: Colt, Springfield Armory (the real one, not the current yahoos) Remington UMC, North American Arms (not the current NAA)

1911a1: Colt, Remington Rand, Ithaca, Singer, Union Switch & Signal

It's possible that a genuine 1911 or 1911a1 frame has an aftermarket slide on it (that someone engraved with "Electrolux").
It is very common to have mixed frames/slides and the 1911/1911a1 frames do not have the manufacturers name on them. Here's a good means to ID the manufacturer of a particular frame: http://sightm1911.com/lib/history/who_made_it.htm

BTW, I've received around ten of the CMP 1911a1's...…….all but one have been mixed slides/frames.

There are some good choices in the 1911, at many levels. My level, is a concealed carry 1911, that meets a balance of top quality, reliability, and has no machine injected molding parts. All parts are forged and hand fitted. Accurate, good looking, without having to pay for fancy unneed cosmetics. At a price that isn't cheap, but not overly expensive. What is that 1911? A Dan Wesson 1911 Vigil CCO. A perfect blend of what works for me.

^^ Agreed, would really love to have the Ed Brown I spec'd out but at $3500 but it's way out of my meager budget.
On the other hand neither of my two Dan Wesson's bear any resemblance to a Block.
