At least I finally remembered what I was doing...

Friend and I went to shoot a couple of rounds of wobble trap yesterday at Bull Run in Virginia.

Hotter than snot, and busy, but otherwise, a decent day.

I took my Stevens 20 gauge that I bought from Sluggo the other year. Really like that little gun. Except yesterday, I couldn't remember how to shoot it on Wobble.

Of the first 10 birds I think I missed 8.

Finally, in the last 5 birds, I remembered what I needed to do -- with that 20, unlike my Remington 58, I need to paint the birds quite a bit high.

I ended up the first round with a 13, last in the group of five, and several behind my friend (I never like being second banana to him!)

The second round, though, I turned in a solid 21.

That easily led the group of 5.

And this morning, my should has the red, angry look of someone who had a lot of fun shooting yesterday afternoon.

Nice shooting on that 2nd round.

Yep, I like it VERY much and shoot it every chance I get. I don't know what it is, but an SxS double just seems to be so much more... civilized.

My shoulder looks like a tenderized piece of beef this morning, though!

I'm thinking of getting the chokes on both barrels opened up to modified, though, or maybe even seeing if there's enough beef in them to install tubes.
