another using html coding tags ....
Why is it that I don't get italisized words when I do the <i>italicized</i> coding in my posts .... ?
What am I doing wrong? Thought I had all the cool html-type stuff turned on in my personal pref-thing .... |

You didn't indicate that you are using the square brackets, [], to surround the code letters in place of the gt/lt characters. Are you? If so, it should be working for you if you haven't changed any HTML related defaults.
[Added later] I see here http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...threadid=70335 that you did use the <> characters instead of the []. So that is the problem. |

What Mal said.
