Got the Rossi to the range today for the 1st time

R92 16" .44 magnum, shooting Winchester 240 grain special and magnum rounds, both cycled very smoothly and were just a joy to shoot. I forgot how fun these things were, I might actually look at something in .35 Rem or 30-30 to go with it. The magnum rounds were spot on while the specials shot a bit high, which kind of surprised me, I would have expected the opposite. I was far from having any intention of dialing the rifle in, due to limited time I was only at 25 yards, standing and unsupported, I really justed wanted to get a feel for the rifle. My next outing I won't have the same time constraints and will be able to assess the accuracy of this little thumper a little better.
