Question about S&W 1012 Shotgun

I have a S&W 1012 Semi-Auto Shotgun Synthetic grip/stock. I was wondering I want to change the forestock of the shotgun with a forestock that has a built in picatinny rail so I can mount a light. I was wondering if there are any after market grips that are used for other shotguns that could still fit the 1012? I really have never seen any aftermarket mods made for the 1012. Also I was thinking about mounting a LaRue red dot sight on it and was wondering what type of gunsmithing was involved or if there was a way to do it with some sort of accessory without actual gunsmithing. Thanks in advance guys!
