Is there a place to buy a good used silencer??

I have an AR15 that is in need of a silencer. I would like to find a place to get one that is used so as to save some cash. I know that many of ya'll know more than I do about this so help me out if you can. Thanks.

Since you have to pay $200 transfer fee to the NFA, I would not buy a used one.
Suppressors in these days hold up for a long time, but even then they have a life span and how do you know how much went through?
