1911 Unmarked Slides?

I want to put a new slide on an old Colt frame. I'm not really looking for match qualty, but something very good. I see Best quality commercial unmarked slides for sale for around $90.
They don't look bad but all I see is a picture.
Has anyone had any experience with these.
Thanks

I don't know the manufacture of the slides you are referring to but $90.00 is very cheap for a good quality slide.
Before I spent my $90.00 I would want the option of inspecting the slide thoroughly. Make sure it has no cracks, the breech face demensions is true, the breech face square, and the radial lugs are correct. The radial lugs are very important, if they are not correct you will never get the gun timed right.
Warpage and the correct hardness of the slide should also be a concern.

Consider the amount of time and money you're going to spend fitting the slide. Also consider that you may (depending on the pistol you're building) one day 'bet your life' on it.

With that in mind, I'd recommend buying a slide of known provenance. Caspian is excellent; Essex is very good at not much more than the $90 you're looking at. This way you have a slide you can feel confident putting work and effort into, and one with a warranty.

Just my .02, of course.
