Sorry guys, you got some work to do...
Fall is just around the corner! You got some sights that need adjusting, load data that needs to be verified, velocities that need to be chronied... Face it - there is a lot of shooting that needs to be done! ------------------ "America is a melting pot, the people at the bottom get burned while all the scum floats to the top." OK, here we go ...
This Sunday we shot a match we only shoot once a year -- "The Ray Edwards Incentive Trophy" Match. It combines the shotgunners and the rifle shooters. Firstly, the shotgunners join we rifle shooters for our Rimfire Field Rifle match -- 12 rounds rapid fire at 25m; 10 rounds offhand at 25m; 10 rounds standing post at 50m; 10 rounds sitting post at 50m. Then we go and shoot skeet(?) with the shotgunners. (Traphouse 15m in front, 5 shooting stations, rotate to your right each shot, 25 birds.) I rarely if ever shoot shotgun, but I hit 18 clays. which I was quite pleased with. This with a borrowed shotgun I'd never even picked up before. In fact, I finished second overall. The weather went from cold, to windy and cold, to pouring rain and cold to sunny and steamy -- all within 5 hours. But what fun. Typing this, I can feel the "buzz" in my mind -- and my right shoulder -- still. Guess I'm gonna have to buy an over-and-under. Now, how much does my wife love me? Bruce |

Went shooting twice in the last 2 weeks. Just up a local canyon. I'm very proud of my wife, as she has gotten to be a really good shot with my buckmark. Soda cans fear her. Shot a whole bunch of clay pigeons. I'm not very good at it, average about 50% probably. My wife broke the action bar on her 25 year old mossberg 20 guage. A friend of mine brazed it back on the next day. Shot a couple of boxes of .40 at leftover clay pigeons, set on a stump. .
One funny little story, my friend has the same exact buckmark as I do, (it was a killer sale). But he is a really bad shot, but nobody really has the heart to tell him. On Saturday, we are out there shooting cans at 25 yards, and he can't hit any. He gives me his gun and says, I think my sights are off, try it. So I went throught and shot ten for ten. I felt really bad for hurting his feelings. Thats about it, sorry George, nothing controversial to moderate. (I think Janet Reno looks kind of like a draft horse, but thats just my opinion.) |

I saw the Budwieser Clydesdales up close once after a parade; you should apologize to them for comparing JR to a draft horse.

Greetings. Sunday's shoot was a bit different for me than usual: no handguns, full-auto, or rifles! We shot shotguns at clay birds.
I refreshed myself with handling my 18" bbl Remington 870 "house gun" using only birdshot of course. Did better than expected and regained respect for this proven design. Best and good shooting to all. |

Well, I was hoping to get out and do some gunning. My other project took much longer than I expected. Couldnt get enough ethernet cards - so I went with Token Ring instead. They wont know the difference anyway.
