Ultramax Ammo apparently totalled (fire)
News is in South Dakota the Ultramax Ammo plant caught fire and is a total loss.

After I started reloading, I had no need for low power "cowboy ammunition" but not everyone has the time or space to reload. Sad to see a company going through such a disaster, but their ammo wasn't anything special.

It may not have been anything special, but they were the only commercial source I know of for semi-wadcutter ammo in .45 ACP. I have now started loading my own, but I still have a few boxes of theirs on the shelf. It was good ammo, reliable and accurate.
I hope they can rebuild and get back in business. |
