Chamber Brush
I bought a Pro-Shot Chamber Brush. What POS. The bristles started falling out the first time it was used. (It jams in the forcing cone and if you twist it, the shank opens up and it loses brass bristles.) I think the problem is some kind of brass wire used to form the shank, instead of steel.

Sounds as if you are turning the brush in the wrong direction. The brass wires holding the bristles making up the core of the brush are unwinding and releasing the bristles.

That is just what happened, Jaguar. Of course nothing was said and I never thought that there was a right or wrong direction. If you turn it clockwise, the shank unscrews form the adapter attached to the rod. If you turn counter clockwise, the brass wires unwind and the bristles fall out. Now, I am trying to get a Kleen-Bore Chamber Mate off of E-Bay/

Sounds like the brush was not crimped tight enough to the rod adapter.
Might be a good idea to track down ProShot and call them. |
