I would love to have the SCAR 17. Add an ACOG and tac-lite and I would be pretty happy.

I would love to have a Boys' Anti-Tank Rifle, but would squeal like a teenage girl if I was allowed to just fire a magazine or two from this severely under-appreciated (in my view) rifle.

there are so many i'd love to own but here are a few off the top of my head:

- Mauser M98
- Sako 75 Hunter
- Winchester Model 70 Super Grade
- Winchester 94AE 30-30
- Winchester 94 30-30 (pre-64)

there are a variety of rifles with different cartridges that i'd like to have just for the sake of variety like the .22WSM, .223, .243 & 30.06

In addition to rifles i'd like a semi-auto shotgun, pump shotgun & O/U shotgun.

Dream Rifles

I would like to have an original Lee Speed chambered in .303 British with express sights and full length barrel rib.

If I can't have the Lee-Speed, I might settle for a Winchester Model 1895 Carbine chambered in either .30-06, .30-40, or .303 British; no particular order.

I never knew I wanted one until I saw capybara's picture

in all seriousness though I am kindof torn between a 1918 BAR or a MP44.

Not really a matter of money, just Remington doesn't offer it.

Model 700 - synthetic varmint stock - heavy barrel - threaded for suppressor - in 6.8mm Remington SPC. They do it all except the caliber !!

1) socom 16 - Just a beautiful rifle that I've always wanted.

2) Ruger GP100 - Tank of revolver would give my 686 a much needed rest.

3) Savage 16\116 in 260 rem. - Those .264 bullets are intriguing.

4) Mini 14 - a poor mans M14, probably the closest I'll ever get to owning a socom16.

5) 1895 Winchester - 405 winchester is another interesting round in a magazine fed lever gun. What's not to like?

I could go on all day

A nice .223 bolt action that puts all the bullets into one hole at 100 yards.
I have one, a Tikka 595, but it took pillar-bedding and careful reload tuning to get there. Now it's boring to shoot at the range because it routinely gets 1/4" groups or better in decent conditions. Ho-hum.

A 23 mm cannon, but just one barrel would be ok if somebody owns enough land here to handle ricochets.

Realistically, just a very nice Eddystone or pre- 8***** series Springfield (aperture sight) for only $100.

When I was a kid, I used to see all the neat ads from Weatherby.

I have only handled one and never shot one. The one I saw was just absolutely beautiful. The workmanship just outstanding.

The thing that really was a turnoff for me was caliber selection. At the time, everything was a XXX Weatherby. You were sort of sucked in to buying Weatherby ammo for Weatherby rifles.

I love the new, high-end FN Winchester Model 70s, but couldn't bring myself to take one into the woods. The stocks I've seen in gun stores are beautiful!!!

Capybara, is it just me ,or does the muzzle of that thing have a chain staking it to the ground? Man , that must be some serious recoil

The Lahti has a muzzle cap retained by a small lanyrad so it doesn't get lost
