Remington 597 bolt handle
I have a new Remington 597 and the bolt handle seems extremely loose.
It wiggles back and forth, up and down and I can basically pull it right out with little resistance. Is that normal or is there something that is broke in the bolt? Thanks, Steve |

It's supposed to come out, but with some resistance. If you were to remove the bolt there is a flat spring riveted to the bolt that keeps the handle retained under tension. That spring is the only thing I'm aware of that could be broken or otherwise not keeping enough tension on the handle.
