QUESTION, For those of you that have or have shot the 6.5, just how much less recoil is it from say the 308 or 7-08? or even the 270 for that matter?

I would choose the Weatherby in a standard caliber like 6.5 creed with the options listed. I wouldn't go full Weatherby magnum.

I shot my buddies Ruger American Predator, and all I can tell you is it won't beat you to death. I didn't shoot anything else that day so I have nothing to compare it to. I can tell you it is more than the .243 but less than the .270, it sits somewhere solidly in the middle.

Platform is EVERYTHING in terms of recoil.

The Savage Model 12FV I own in 6.5 Creedmoor has very little recoil. I could aboot it all day without any problem.

Even in a lighter rifle it would be fun to sboot all day.

Thanks but I can't do Savage too many problems with my axis in 270 this deer season. It failed to carry a live round luckily I had Already hit the big doe in the lungs and click misfire as it was running down the hill. Next weekend a magazine Malfunctioning luckily brought my 3030 as a backup

Not that I am a Savage fan by any means, but an Axis is the bargain model.

I think a model 10 would do better, & maybe my sour Savage incident is isolated.
