Protective paper
Soon as Christmas is out of the way I'm going to start casting. I always try to
top of my stock of bullets while it's cold. Tonight while checking out some of my molds I got sidelined cleaning some lite rust off a few of them. Must have been from very humid summer. Does anybody know the name of the waxed anti rust paper new molds come in? Also where it can be bought at. |

VCI Waxed Paper would do the trick.
I haven't seen it available in smaller rolls though. A good alternative is plain VCI paper under a layer of cling wrap to keep the goody from dissipating.

To me there are two better ways than the VMI IMO. You can coat them in Mineral oil and wrap them before storing or leave the last bullets inside and the sprue on. Leaving the last bullets on won't protect the outside surface but it will buff right off with a wire wheel and it is not a functional part of the die either. Also the mineral oil cooks right off.
