I do now !!!

It`s a old non vented , but perfectly centered cut & aligned mold !!

Tried it on the bottom pour but just gave me fits on fillout !!!

Ran the spiders out of the ladle & WALAAAA!!!!

Don`t have no idea what the temp was on the alloy & don`t care , lookey at my bullets !!!!

The nose is shorter than the Lyman 357446 , but the body longer , that should make it work better at lower velocitys , the Lyman likes the pedal to the floor !!!

If the mould is working for you don't change anything, just use it and enjoy it.

I have the 150 grain K-T three cavity mould, it drops a 160 grain single grouve semi wadcutter that shoots very nice.

Thoughts

I cast using a LEE 10#er , I`m thinkin of openin up the spout instead of messin with the mold .

The bullets jump out of it as is !!!

Hello, GP100man. Those are some nice looking bullets, and a nicer looking mould! Don't touch that mould! It probably is an early one, with collector value. I have many of the very early Ideal moulds from .22 up and alot have no vent lines & cast just fine. Some have only one or two running from a lube groove or band up at an angle to edge of block. A few even have grooves cut in underside of sprue plate..running out from sprue hole! When I was shooting IHMSA, I used the Lyman 358429 around 170gr. in a S&W mod. 27. Recently, I tried an Ideal 358430 at 200gr.! Even with light charges, that one kicks! Best of luck.
