A short pit stop

I went to the pit to try out some hand loads, but the pit was full, of folks shootin that is. Know matter I headed off to a less known about pit a few miles off . All went well with my .38 spl reloads, I've been working on a load I hope my Wife will be able to shoot comfortably from a S&W MOD. 36, the load I found most agreeable was a 125 cpswc over 4.5 grns of W-231
Then I stopped by the first pit, hoping to find some once firerd brass to reload. Things had cleared up a bit, but there were still some shooters there, I noticed they were trying to hit a milk jug on the hill side about a 100 yds off with a high powered rifle, I could'nt resist I loaded my Colt trooper .357 with 158 JHP over 10.5 grns of Blue Dot and nailed the jug two out of six times double action off hand the other four were close, Wow that's fun
These "pits" were once mined for cinders used for traction on icey roads, they make for a great back drop.
