Shooting the Pedersoli flintlock Kentucky pistol kit
In this video I'll shoot the flintlock pistol I built using Pedersoli's Kentucky pistol kit. This is a .45 caliber muzzleloading pistol. I bought the kit from Dixie Gunworks. If you are interested in watching me build this pistol, check out this playlist

Thanks Mike. I wish we had built that instead of the Traditions Trapper. The purpose of the trapper was not to build it inasmuch as the skills that we were being taught.

Don't you need another five of those to be well armed and effective?

Nice job.
You brought back a lot of memories. I too sent away to Dixie Gun Works back in the mid 70's for the same kit only it was made by Traditions. The brass parts came finished & polished. Here in NY you could buy & own a flintlock pistol but you can't shoot it unless you have a pistol permit. I got my permit 5 years ago & finally shot it for the first time. Now I want the matching rifle to go with it. My wood working skills aren't what they used to be so I don't think I'll make one from a kit.

You really exceeded what Pedersoli does with the same components:
