Active Shooter: America Under Fire - Showtime Series

I have now watched the majority of two episodes of this series. From what I have seen, the program does not take a stance on guns per se, though obviously some of the victims have a negative impression about them. In the case of the Sikh Temple shooting, the focus was on racism and hatred more than anything else in terms of being the root issue. Basically, the show runs through interviews with people at active shooter events and has them retell their experiences. Where possible, the show is supplemented with on scene video from the time of the event and/or later during retelling of the story. Victims, family members, witnesses, police, and other responders share their impressions/insights/memories.

What I am noticing that is really interesting is just how much confusion is created by one of these events and how much confusion remains even after the event is actually over, though participants don't comprehend this, often due to confusing or conflicting reports.

If you get Showtime and are interested in learning more about active shooter events, this might be something you might want to watch.
