M-1 30 cal Carbine w/ selector switch

I was wondering if anyone knows what a WWII .30 cal M-1 with a selector switch that goes from full automatic to semi auto is worth if I have all the documentation about its registration back in the 60's which is way before the 1982 act... I had someone make me an offer but feel that it may be low.

A transferable M2 carbine should fetch 7-8K, I think

FWIW, check the papers to see how the gun was registered. If it was registered under the serial number of the carbine, the carbine is the machinegun and has to be transferred as such.

But many M1 carbines were converted using a kit. If the kit was given an IRS number that was marked on a key part (like the disconnector lever), then the kit is the registered machinegun and can be moved from one M1 carbine to another at any time, and can be transferred without transferring the carbine.

I would say $5000 for the conversion kit, plus the value of the brand/condition of the M1 host gun.

If a factory M2 gun then $7000

If the gun is an M1 with a kit, and you want to fire it very much full auto, check back as there are some upgrades you need to make,
