USPS Lost my NFA Stamp
Long story short....
BATFE approved my stamp in middle September, they said they mailed it late September. It's the end of October and nothing has come in my mailbox. Now, from what BATFE has told me they mail out approved stamps within 30 days of it being signed off.... it's been over a month and a half now. I'm not talking to their Washington DC office.... it's their West Virgina Office, the main NFA Branch according the BATFE website. That's where I mailed it to also. If my Stamp is lost through the USPS' failure can I get a replacement stamp from BATFE? Certified Copy, etc..... What recourse can I take? It was a Form 1 SBR through a trust.

Call the NFA branch and they will provide you a photocopy of the F4 and stamp. Keep copies of ALL correspondence to and from NFA branch with the copy. THen make copies of the copies to keep with the SBR.

Yes call them ASAP so they don't think you just lost it. You should be able to get a copy of it but be prepared for a pain in the butt.

I agree you are going to have to hound them to get the copy sent out.
