High Standard Crusader Compact questions

Hello everyone, My name is Rich, Im new to this forum. Hope everyone is having a good day. Anywho, Ive just picked up a High Standard Crusader Compact. It is chambered in 45ACP. The only issue I have with the weapon, is that I am left handed, and I have been looking high and low for an ambidextrous safety. Does anyone know where I could find one? Secondly, I had a guy at my local gun shop tell me that the weapon I had purchased, was made roughly in the 70's or 80's. Is there a way I can find out the actual date this weapon was made by the serial number on it? Thirdly, accessories. Is there a good website out there with a good selection of accessories for this weapon? I would like to get a few goodies for it. Im new to the shooting realm, so I couldnt tell ya exactly what it is I would like to do to it. Any suggestions? I just need it to be reliable, and accurate because this will be my carry weapon. Thanks for any input.
