20ga for wife

Hello all,
I am looking for a 20 ga auto for my wife. She's 5-5 & average built. I was looking at Franchi 620 Short stock. She will be using the gun for occasional clay shooting & pheasnt hunting. She's been shooting handguns & 22 rifle but first time to shotguns. I'd like to spend about $500 & less. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking your time.

Brian,Franchis are good shotguns, but there's a few rules/guidelines to follow when a spouse wants to learn to shoot....

Let her pick the shotgun. You can suggest, but she's gonna be happier if she decides, and so will you.

Have her learn from someone else, even if you're a Level VIII instructor and haven't missed either a clay or a game bird since 1969.

She should get the heaviest shotgun she can handle, and use the lightest loads starting off.

Finally, no shooter does well with an ill fitting shotgun. The time and effort getting the thing fitted is well spent.
