grip Q: XDM 3.8 vs. XDM 4.5

Are the grip sizes different between these two models? I was on a business trip and stopped into a local shop to paw the display items and I loved the feel of the XDM .40 with a 3.8" barrel. I recently got my tiny racoon-sized hands on a friend's 4.5" (grip 1, he says) and it felt different from what I remembered.

Is it possible that the grips have changed?

thanks

Exactly same size frame.

The variable is which of the 3 rear grip panels are on the pistol..small, med or large ?

XDm grip size

I second that. Held the 3.8" and 4.5" XDm's and the grip sizes are exactly the same, so far as what's available in the two local gunshops I frequent in my area.
