Fedex truck came today at almost 6 PM
With a 48 pound box of primers and smokeless powder, mostly primers (42000 of 'em.) It was a group buy, they're not all mine. I told him I really thought he'd be by earlier in the day, to get a 50# box of explosives off his truck...

He didn't really seem like the brightest guy (not that there's anything wrong with that.) He didn't know what was in it, or even that it was hazmat; just that it required a sig.

42,000 primers for a group buy? That's a small buy for a group.

This was from graf's. A free hazmat deal just started *after* we placed the order, but it's if you order 32# of powder. (we ordered 45# of primers) Maybe there's a different deal for retail orders.
Shipping and insurance was about $30. The hazmat was $25. I ordered them on my "dealer" account, and the terms are different than a retail account but the prices are lower. For large orders, the dealer pricing is a better deal even though the shipping costs more. Last edited by zxcvbob; October 21, 2011 at 12:56 PM. |
