What is the best way to free up a 1911 slide that won't move. It has been stored in a damp basement for a few months. There are no external signs of rust or corosion. I sprayed G96 into the bore and up the magazine hole. Hope that will do it. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike

Take what parts off you can, recoil spring plug, take a rubber or plastic tip hammer and tap on the muzzle of the barrel to see if you can get the barrel and slide to unlock, and tap on the side of the slide a little. Might be best to remove all parts if you can, main spring housing, hammer and sear.
