My Colt Mark IV locked up completely on me a few years despite rather modest use. Pretty much disassembled it to the bare frame, cleaned accumulated residue out of the trigger channel, reassembled and VOILA! Hasn't missed a beat since. Maintenance-even an occasion shot of spray cleaner-must NOT be neglected.

There can't be any most reliable, if you get more than one thats 100% reliable. I have a Ruger P90DC that is 100% reliable. Thats is as good as it gets.

HK handguns are the most reliable in my experience, along with Beretta 92FS's and Glocks.

I gotta say both my 1911 and 92 run flawlessly in any condition. Debatably (maybe not), you can't find a better more reliable platform in either caliber.

Limp wristing counts! And so does a dirty gun.

The only semi auto I never had a problem with was a Wilson. I even tried limp wristing it to see what would happen. It runs like a sewing machine.
My Sigs, H&K, Berretta and other 1911 all jammed one time or another

...Actual limp wristing can happen with any of them,...
Any of them? Sorry, not buying that statement. Going to need proof.

you cannot say that limpwristing and dirt isnt a factor... throw enough crud into any tool with moving parts and its going to fail...

that being said

I own a Glock 19 and an HK USP .45.... The glock has 1 FTE with an inexperienced shooter who was limpwristing from my point of view... It has never jammed on me...

The USP .45 however... Flawless...

Ive had people who were shooting my High Powers and 1911's, have the issue. Usually kids, or people unfamiliar with shooting or the guns themselves. My kids both had the issue with their HP's on the first couple of rounds, but then again, they were around 6 or 7. In all cases I can remember, once they were shown what was wrong, it went away pretty much immediately.

If you dont hold the gun properly, and even worse, tend to draw it back as it goes off, you can have troubles with all of them.

Well if you maintain it and shoot with good form a hk p7m8 will hum right along, even with no extractor it will function as advertised.

Just purchased one that they did a 30,000 round torcher test on and then went and got it certified by NATO for purchase. It carries the Nato number right on the slide. It should work!!
