440 cal col!
I am on seating 40 cal. All the other steps I did already. I am using Lee dies. Now my problem is this the book say a col of 1.125 so I set the plug in the dies after I made a dummy round to 1.124,the next was 1.117 it chamber in the gun but is that ok? I'm using 601gr of Imr 4064.

.007 isn't a lot of difference but usually I only see about .002 variance between rounds while loading. These variances are due to the bullets profile from bullet to bullet and is normal. Now if you were to measure from the ogive of the bullet it would be more consistent.
As you probably know when the oal is shortened the pressure goes up so be careful but I can't recommend if .007 shorter is safe, that's up to you to determine. If your at the top end of the load recommendation I probably wouldn't shoot it. If your in the middle then I wouldn't worry too much about it. |

Wait a second- you are using IMR 4064 in .40 cal? ( I am assuming you mean 40 S&W)
IMR 4064 is a rifle power!!

I'm betting it's not 601 or 60.1 grains either. The bullet weight matters too.
And IMR4064 is your friend, but not in a handgun cartridge.
