James Keenan has passed away ...

It is with great sadness and a great sense of loss that we have to report the passing of James Keenan in December. He was known here as "James K".

Jim, as he preferred to be called, was a great contributor to TFL and many other firearms boards. He was also the moderator of the Firearms Research forum for a long time, and he contributed a lot of his knowledge in that forum even before moderating it. His knowledge of firearms and firearms history seemed boundless.

He will be missed.

I learned so much from him and his posts here on TFL and I’m very saddened to hear this.
Attention Brass rats and other reloaders: I really need .327 Federal Magnum brass, no lot size too small. Tell me what caliber you need and I'll see what I have to swap. PM me and we'll discuss.

RIP, Jim.

I'd noticed his absence, and missed his contributions in the forums.

When I first found this forum and used the search function I was always happy to see his name in the search results because I knew it was the "real news."

Ah, dang. Just noticed this. Jim had a lot of very good information to share, and he shared it freely with everyone.

The ATF should be a convenience store instead of a government agency!

God bless - As one door closes another will open.
This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend, it is my life. I must master itas i master my life.Without me my rifle is useless, without my rifle i am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I Will. Before God i swear this creed. My rifle and myself are defenders of my country. We are masters of our enemy. We are saviours of my life. So be it until there is no enemy, but peace. Amen.

Haven't been here in a long time.
I remember Mr Keenan well from many groups.
Fine gentlemen.
