Thread Size For 60's Shotgun Bead???

Does anybody know what the thread size is for a front bead on a say mid-60's High Standard 12 gauge without vent rib? I have been wanting something that has better visibility than that tiny gold bead. Any ideas if this thing would work? The price is definitely right.

Are you using the gun for flying things like birds and clays or more like a rifle for deer and turkey?

If for all things flying, leave the bead alone and do not look at it - focus your eyes on your target and using your hands ans eyes together, point the gun.
If for static targets like deer or turkey, then a nice front site will work.

It's quite possible the bead is pressed in. Otherwise the only threaded beads I've seen through the years were either 3-56 or 6-48.

Brownell's sells beads by the 80 piece kit that are 6-48 and 8-40. They also sell that very sight with 3-56, 6-48 and 5-40.
You need to take the existing one out and measure it. Dimensions are here.
