First real hunt!
I say first real one because sitting out in the woods looking for deer that never came isn't really hunting.
So this is my first kill. I started early, just as the sun was coming up. First turkey was a hen so I let her go, then another male started to follow. It wasn't very light yet so it was hard to see his beard. Once I heard him gobble I knew he was my turkey. He was moving away from me, but stopped just for a moment. Perfect head shot. I was using a 2oz 3" #5 Turkey load. He flopped around for a little bit but there was nothing going on in his head. |

Congrats thats a beautiful bird. Don't sell yourself short though. Even if you dont see or bag an animal its still just as much a hunt as if you get an animal. Putting in the work and patience is hunting, bagging an animal is its reward.
