M-85 AK .223 pistol problem

My M-85 AK pistol will not extract. I end up with a round jammed under the rim of the unextracted case every time. Installed new extractor and spring to no avail. I'm sure the thing is way overgassed. I'm thinking it is a timing issue. Extractor is trying to pull out an expanded case and it's sticking in the chamber. I'm thinking I need to polish the chamber and see if that helps. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have a booster on the muzzle? First thing I did when I got mine was to order one. I never shot it withoit, but figured it was originally designed to have one, so I figured it best to get one. Mine has never jammed. I don't know if that is the problem with yours, but if it were mine, I'd probably try that first to correct it. Was this a new problem?

Can you take pictures and post them?

Also, when the bolt goes back but the empty case is not extracted, are there any marks on the cartridge case, the case rim or the extractor to suggest what is happening?
